U.S. Ski Hall Of Fame Names Inductees


Ishpeming, MI - Paralympic champions Chris Waddell and Sarah Will and big big mountain skiing legend Doug Coombs highlight a group of eight athletes and sport builders named for induction to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. They are joined by adaptive skiing pioneer Jack Benedick, noted industry writer and instructor Stu Campbell, veteran ski jumping champion Ansten Samuelstuen, the father of southern skiing Sepp Kober and longtime U.S. Ski Team press officer and journalist Paul Robbins.

Flaky Fundraiser Supports Ski Utah School Program


Salt Lake City, UT - Ski Utah, the joint marketing effort of the Utah Division of Travel and Tourism and the state's 13 ski and snowboard resorts, offers an in-school learn to ski and ride program for fourth graders. For the first time, Ski Utah has introduced a fundraising promotion in hopes of spreading this unique program to more schools in Utah.

Lake Louise Agrees to Continue Hosting World Cup Ski Races


Lake Louise (AB), Canada - Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA), the governing body of ski racing in Canada, and the Lake Louise Ski Area, site of the opening World Cup speed discipline races later this month, have agreed to a new three-year partnership agreement that opens the door to future World Cup races.
