Mountain Community Network - MountainJobs.com

Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on a mountain town with a nearby college. I'm finishing my Masters of Public Administration this summer and would really like to work with college students. Of course, quality of life is of equal importance so finding a job in a mountain town would be ideal! Also, any suggestions on mountain towns with vibrant nonprofit communities would be hugely appreciated as well!

Fort Lewis is in Durango, CO and you can also check out Colorado Mountain College locations ... this should give you a handful of Colorado mountain towns to check out.
Thanks Amy! I am aplying to a job in Durango and I will check out the Colorado Mountain College campuses. Any thoughts on Gunnison?
Depending on what you consider a mountain town, you could look into Boulder, CO.  You aren't really in the mountains, but you've got the foothills right there and the "real" mountains aren't that far away.  It depends if you are more into the skiing or hiking.  There are plenty of summer activities in Boulder, but in town for the winter, there's really not much.
I agree with Tracey. Boulder is definitely going to be your best bet in terms of being near a vibrant college community as well as having lots of non-profit work opportunities.
