Mountain/college towns

Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on a mountain town with a nearby college. I'm finishing my Masters of Public Administration this summer and would really like to work with college students. Of course, quality of life is of equal importance so finding a job in a mountain town would be ideal! Also, any suggestions on mountain towns with vibrant nonprofit communities would be hugely appreciated as well!

About me
I'm a grad student studying public administration planning to work in higher ed administration. I'm hoping to learn about some new mountain/college towns that I can look for jobs in after I graduate!
When did you first move to the mountains and why?
I moved to Missoula 3 years ago to take an AmeriCorps position and get out of the city.
Where did you move from? What do you miss the most?
I moved from Boston! The only thing I truly miss is my family (and sometimes the food, particularly fresh seafood!)
Your favorite mountain town?
Missoula!
Favorite mountain activities?
snowboarding and backpacking
What is the best mountain job you've had? the worst?
Never actually worked in any way related to the mountains.... just in the mountain town and loved everything I've done.
When not in the mountains, I like to...
knit, bead, garden, cook and learn new things
